Matthew Alcorn is, through he frequently questions whether or not that's a good thing. He writes sporadically, and occasionally manages to cobble together something resembling a story. He's tried to get his wife to read some of his fiction, but she has displayed little interest. He doesn't blame her.
Along with pursing a lifelong dream of writing something worth reading, Matthew is an English teacher, and generally feels as though he's pretty good at it. Whether this self-confidence is misplaced or not remains to be seen.
When he isn't teaching, writing, or contemplating the futility of man's eternal search for purpose in an absurd and uncaring world, he spends his time trying to make his daughter laugh.
